The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the premier party of characters who will separate from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
Considering 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at one table would be impossible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
First, the party understands precisely where to go next after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, attacking the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.
The antagonist then settled his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Cyd pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Moreover, each member has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:
- Thimble, as the companion and best friend, desires retribution.
- Kattigan knows the region and cautions that it is a nasty location.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the party reach areas they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:
- The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- The target is wanted dead by the clan.
This leaves them little choice but to travel to the northern region in quest for the traitor.
