I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
